Rozália Szeleczki made her first feature film after the success of her two short films: Rozgonyiné, which received a Special Mention at the Fresh Meat Festival, and Since You've Been with Me (Mióta velem jár), which won the Simó Award for Best Graduation Film. Her debut feature, Cat Universe (Cicaverzum), which playfully blurs genre boundaries, was selected for the competition programs of several international festivals, including the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and the Raindance Film Festival in London.

She began her film directing studies at the University of Theatre and Film Arts in 2019 and later completed them through a joint program of Freeszfe and the Vienna Film Academy (Filmakademie Wien).

Her graduation film, Alba Vulva, premiered at the Sarajevo Film Festival and later won the ARTE Award at the Filmschoolfest Munich.

Her first feature film, Árni, premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2023 and was subsequently invited to the competition programs of several major festivals, including the Hong Kong International Film Festival and the Raindance Film Festival in London.

In addition to the film’s domestic and international acclaim, Dorka Vermes received the Best Director awards from both the Hungarian Film Review (Magyar Filmszemle) and the Hungarian Film Critics’ Awards in 2025.

She is currently working on her second feature film, Places Half Empty, which won the top prize of the Sarajevo Film Festival’s development program in 2025, the Eurimages Co-production Development Award.

Film and talent development specialist, currently a senior consultant with the British Council's Film Department, leading their new talent initiatives. She has previously worked as a film programmer for the Independent Cinema Office in the UK, and was programme director at London Short Film Festival. She was the creative producer and programmer at Birds Eye View Films, where she helped to develop and launch their highly successful Reclaim the Frame audience development programme.

She has worked as an animation specialist at the National Film Archive, is a lecturer in the animation department at the Moholy‑Nagy University of Art and Design, and was a co‑founder and curator of the Primanima International Animation Festival. She has served on the jury of numerous international animation festivals and has curated retrospective animation programs.

Dénes Nagy is a Hungarian film director and screenwriter. In 2013, his film Soft Rain (Lágy eső) won the Grand Prize at the very first Friss Hús. His debut feature film, Natural Light (Természetes fény), received the Silver Bear for Best Director at the Berlin International Film Festival. His documentary Kurtág Fragments (Kurtág-töredékek), about the composer György Kurtág on the occasion of his 100th birthday, was released in cinemas this year.

I graduated in 2000 from the editing department of the University of Theatre and Film Arts, in the class of Hajnal Sellő. Since then, I have edited numerous feature films, documentaries, television productions, short films, commercials, and music videos.

I’m very happy that at this year’s Friss Hús Budapest International Short Film Festival I can participate not only as an enthusiastic viewer, but also as a professional jury member delegated by the Hungarian Society of Cinematographers (HSE).

An award-winning film editor recognized at Hungarian and international festivals. He has edited more than 10 feature-length films and dozens of short films. He is the vice president of the HSE, has taught at University of Theatre and Film Arts (SZFE), and in addition to editing, he also works as a second unit director.
