Entries are open for the 2024 edition of Friss Hús
The 12th Friss Hús Budapest International Short Film Festival will take place between 30 May and 5 June, 2024. Entries are now open, the earlybird deadline is 15 August!
Friss Hús team is looking for live-action (fiction, documentary, horror, LGBTQ, trash) films under 40 minutes, and animated films under 20 minutes in length. The titles of the competition programme will be announced in spring 2024, after the selection of the pre-selection jury.
Entries to the XII Friss Hús are eligible for a discount until 15 August. After that, the regular deadline is 31 October, and the late deadline is 30 November, but it is worth registering as soon as possible, as the lower the entry fee, the better.
The Friss Hús Budapest International Short Film Festival is the defining event of the Budapest film scene. The festival's primary aim is to showcase the latest Hungarian and foreign short films, and to build a professional forum where filmmakers can engage in dialogue, and can show their films to a wider audience. The screenings are always sold out and attract considerable professional and press coverage. The growing attendance year on year proves that there is a broad interest in short films.
